At the Pick School of Ballroom Dancing Beginning Night Club 2Step class you can learn how to lead or how to follow this hip late sixties and seventies dance with figures like the basic, underarm turn and open side breaks.

Originally developed in 1965 by a young teen named Buddy Schwimmer who was doing a line dance called the "Surfer Stomp", the Night Club 2Step came about as he was trying to adapt the line dance to medium and slower popular music. The timing was changed and the 2Step was born!

The Night Club 2Step is a dance done in 4/4 time, encompassing a variety of slow and quick steps with a Quick, Quick, Slow beat. To read more about the Night Club 2Step click here!
